In 2013, Jordan Brand debuted the Air Jordan 3 Retro '88. It was the first Air Jordan retro to feature original "Nike Air" branding since the early '00s. Since then, JB has remastered a few more which include colorways of the Air Jordan 4 Retro, Air Jordan 6 Retro and upcoming Air Jordan 5 Retro respectively. All labeled "OG," a few Air Jordan 7 Retros in 2015, an Air Jordan 8 Retro and an upcoming Air Jordan 9 Retro feature their original branding on the insoles.
For "Black Friday" 2016, Jordan Brand has chosen to bring back the Air Jordan 3 Retro, and give it the "OG" treatment once more. While its not the "Black Cement" colorway everyone has been yearning for, its still a fan-favorite original. That's right, the "True Blue" Air Jordan 3 Retro will make its return this year, marking its fourth re-release. Only this time around they will come remastered, true to the originals, and with "Nike Air" branding.
A general release, expect their availability to be similar to the recently released "White Cement" Air Jordan 4 Retro OG and upcoming "Black Metallic" Air Jordan 5 Retro OG later this summer. Retail is set at $220 for men and they will be available in full-family sizing, running down to toddler.
No images yet, but here's some shots of the 1988 original as well as the last release from 2011 to hold you over. In the meantime, those of you looking for one of the previous releases now can, grab them from eBay here.
