Jordan Brand XX8 Days Of Flight: Air Jordan XIX

It is day nineteen of the Jordan XX8 Days Of Flight. In honor of that, we take a look back at the Air Jordan XIX.
The Air Jordan XIX was originally released in 2004 and was the first signature shoe to be released after MJ's final retirement following the 2002-03 NBA season with the Washington Wizards. Even though he walked away from professional basketball forever (in terms of playing) his legacy would continue to live on though his Air Jordan line. Here is what Jordan Brand had to say about the Air Jordan XIX:

"The incorporation of Tech Flex and a Phylon midsole made the Air Jordan XIX the most flexible and lightweight Air Jordan to date. Full-length Zoom Air and a carbon-fiber shank plate ensured the XIX’s unrivaled on-court performance. Let’s see those ‘nineteens’ for Day 19 of XX8 Days Of Flight."

The only Air Jordan 19 Retro released to date was in 2008s Jordan 19/4 Collezione "Countdown" Pack. It has now been nine years since the Air Jordan XIX was originally released. Despite it being almost a decade, there are no signs of an Air Jordan 19 Retro return anytime soon. However, things could always change. If they do I will be sure to let everyone know as well as update the 2013 Release Dates section if/when I receive information.

For now, enjoy the images below of this sample black and volt green colorway of the Air Jordan XIX made exclusively to celebrate the Jordan XX8 Days Of Flight Collection. Be sure to check out my Twitter @ajordanxi and Instagram @ajordanxi as I have submitted pictures of some of my Air Jordan XIX collection to share with everyone. You can also see them on the official Facebook page here as well.
