Jordan Brand XX8 Days Of Flight: Air Jordan XV

Another week of the Jordan XX8 Days Of Flight is in the books. Today, we look back at the Air Jordan XV.
Originally released in 1999-2000, the Air Jordan XV continued the Air Jordan line even though Michael Jordan had walked away from the game for a second time in 1998. Most people recognize the Air Jordan XV by its unique tongue which was inspired by MJ as he tended to stick out his tongue while he played. Here is what Jordan Brand had to say about the Air Jordan XV:

"The Air Jordan XV takes flight, taking inspiration from an X-15 rocket plane. It exudes toughness with a woven Kevlar upper while maintaining a lightweight frame set on Zoom Air. Wear your ‘fifteens’ for Day 15 of XX8 Days Of Flight."

In 2007, the Air Jordan 15 Retro was released for the first time. Two colorways, one original and one new colorway were released. In 2008 they returned as a part of the Jordan 8/15 Collezione "Countdown" Pack. Since then, we have yet to see them return. So far, there are no signs of the Air Jordan 15 Retro returning in 2013. However, it is still early in the year and things could always change. If/when information about an Air Jordan 15 Retro become available, I will be sure to let everyone know. For now, stay tuned to the 2013 Release Dates section for the most up-to-date Jordan Brand release info for the year.

For now, enjoy the images below of this sample black and volt green colorway of the Air Jordan XV made exclusively to celebrate the Jordan XX8 Days Of Flight Collection. Be sure to check out my Twitter @ajordanxi and Instagram @ajordanxi as I have submitted pictures of some of my Air Jordan XV collection to share with everyone.
