Jordan Brand XX8 Days Of Flight: Air Jordan XIII

Today the XX8 Days Of Flight rolls on as we look back at the Air Jordan XIII.
The Air Jordan XIII was originally released in 1997-1998. Nicknamed the "Black Cats" due to MJ's style of play. Jordan wore these during his final year playing with the Chicago Bulls and led them to their 6th NBA championship and third 3-peat. In 2004, the Air Jordan 13 Retro was released for the first time. It was retroed again in 2005, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2013. To date, all original colorways have been retroed minus the two low tops. Here is what Jordan Brand had to say about the Air Jordan XIII:

"MJ’s “Black Cat” nickname is personified through the Air Jordan XIII’s sleek design. An innovative panther-paw inspired outsole and a “cat eye” hologram bring the theme to life, while its Zoom Air and carbon-fiber plate make it a predator on the court. Show off your ‘thirteens’ for Day 13 of XX8 Days Of Flight. www.AJXX8.com"

Even though we have seen all original colorways of the Air Jordan XIII re-release, they still remain one of the most popular Air Jordan's of all time. With a few OG's retroing in 2013 as well as some new colorways, I think it's safe to say that the Air Jordan XIII is as popular today as it was when it was originally released. For more information on present and future Air Jordan 13 Retro releases, be sure to check out the 2013 Release Dates section for the most current and up-to-date release info.

For now, enjoy the images below of this sample black and volt green colorway of the Air Jordan XIII made exclusively to celebrate the Jordan XX8 Days Of Flight Collection. Very similar in looks to the 2005 "Altitude" Air Jordan 13 Retro. Be sure to check out my Twitter @ajordanxi and Instagram @ajordanxi as I have submitted pictures of some of my Air Jordan XIII collection to share with everyone. You can also see them on the ajordanxi.com official Facebook page here as well.
