Jordan Brand XX8 Days Of Flight: Air Jordan VII

Closing out the first week in the XX8 Days of Flight is the Air Jordan VII.
Originally released in 1992, the Air Jordan VII took the Air Jordan line to a whole new level. No "Nike Air" on these instead, a unqiue logo designed for the VII's featuring the number "23" in it on the back heel. In 2002, ten years after their original release, the Air Jordan 7 Retro was released for the first time. After that, we saw the Air Jordan 7 Retro return in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Even though every original Air Jordan VII colorway has now been retroed at least once, their legacy is still strong today. Here is what Jordan Brand had to say about the Air Jordan VII:

"Influenced by running-shoe technology, the Air Jordan VII cuts down to boost the ups. The VII set a new standard in comfort and lightweight with its neoprene sockliner. Rock those ‘sevens’ today in Day 7 of XX8 Days Of Flight."

As of right now, the Air Jordan 7 Retro is not set to release in 2013. However, that does not mean we will not see them. In 2015, it will be the 23rd Anniversary of the Air Jordan VII so, expect to see them return in a few years for sure. If something does get confirmed and a new colorway will release, be sure to keep checking the 2013 Release Dates section as release info is added as I receive it.

For now, enjoy the images below of this sample black and volt green colorway of the Air Jordan VII made exclusively to celebrate the Jordan XX8 Days Of Flight Collection. Be sure to check out my Twitter @ajordanxi and Instagram @ajordanxi as I have submitted pictures of some of my Air Jordan VII collection to share with everyone. You can also see them on the official Facebook page here as well.
