Jordan Brand XX8 Days Of Flight: Air Jordan IV

As we continue on with the XX8 Days of Flight, today we take a look at the Air Jordan IV.
Originally released in 1989, the Air Jordan IV is one of the most iconic sneakers in footwear history. A fan favorite amongst most and, a all time Top 5 for myself. The Air Jordan IV was first retroed in 1999 when Jordan Brand launched the beginning of the retro line that continues today. After 1999, the Air Jordan 4 Retro was released in 2000, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2012 and also will be released later in 2013. Despite the increase in retros recently, people still crave the Air Jordan IV and look foward to future releases in colorways both new and old. Here is what Jordan Brand had to say about the Air Jordan IV:

"Flight was at the forefront of the Air Jordan IV, with the word even repped on the tongue. Its reinforced mesh reduced weight and enhanced breathability. The stabilization straps gave the AJ IV superior support. Pay tribute to the ‘fours’ by rocking and sharing yours today for XX8 Days Of Flight."

As of right now, two colorways of the Air Jordan 4 Retro are officially set to release in 2013. One in a "Toro Bravo" inspired fired red featured a red-based suede upper. The other also a new colorway will feature a glow-in-the-dark upper. Both pairs are set to release during the 3rd quarter of 2013, between July and September. No official release dates are known but the months they will be released in along with price and official colorway description can be found in the 2013 Release Dates section. Be sure to check back there often as I update those pages frequently when I receive release information.

For now, enjoy the images below of this sample black and volt green colorway of the Air Jordan IV made exclusively to celebrate the Jordan XX8 Days Of Flight Collection.
