Jordan Brand XX8 Days Of Flight: Air Jordan III

Perhaps one of the most popular Air Jordan's of all time, the Air Jordan III. The first signature shoe to feature the iconic "Jumpman" logo.
The Air Jordan III debuted in 1988. Now, twenty five years later in 2013 they have become one of the most iconic shoes in footwear history. The beginning of the Spike Lee and Michael Jordan relationship began with the Jordan III and, Mars Blackmon was born. To date, the Air Jordan III has been retroed in 1994, 2001, 2003, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and, 2013. With the highly anticipated return of "Nike Air" on the back, the legacy of the Air Jordan III will continue to live on for years to come. Here is what Jordan Brand had to say about the Air Jordan III:

"It's gotta be the shoes. The Air Jordan III set the stage for big things to come as the first AJ to feature the 'Jumpman' and a visible air unit. Its elephant print was a bold statement that matched the audacity of MJ's game. Break out your best 'threes' today for day 3 of XX8 Days Of Flight."

As 2013 is the 25th Anniversary of the Air Jordan III, you can expect to see Air Jordan 3 Retro's release throughout the year. Kicking things off in February is the original white and cement grey colorway featuring "Nike Air" for the first time since the 2001 retros. A few new colorways will be released as well as the return of the original "Fire Red" which was the only original colorway not re-released in 2011. Be sure to check out the 2013 Release Dates section of the site for the most up to date information on Air Jordan 3 Retros dropping this year.
