Jordan Brand XX8 Days Of Flight: Air Jordan II

After their initial launch of the Jordan Brand XX8 Days Of Flight today, we take a look at the Air Jordan II.
It is day two of the XX8 Days Of Flight and with that, we continue on to the Air Jordan II. Originally released in 1987 and featuring genuine Italian leather on the upper. Two colorways were released both as a high and as a low. Since then, the Air Jordan II has been retroed numerous times including 1994, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 and last in 2010. Here is what Jordan Brand had to say about the Air Jordan II:
"A full-length air sole and supportive midsole made the Air Jordan II flight-ready. Its faux lizard-skin upper and Italian craftsmanship gave the 'twos' the high-fashion look we've come to expect from the Air Jordan line. Rock your favorite AJ 2's today in day 2 of XX8 Days Of Flight."

The Air Jordan II was also the final signature shoe to feature the original "Wings" logo as the "Jumpman" logo debuted on the Air Jordan III. "Nike Air" has been prominently found on the back heel on all high top Air Jordan II's both original and retro minus a few colorways. While it has been now three years since we last saw the Air Jordan 2 Retro, we have definitely not seen the last. No new colorways are set to release at this time however if they do, I will be sure to let everyone know.

For now, enjoy the images below of this sample black and volt green colorway of the Air Jordan II made exclusively to celebrate the Jordan XX8 Days Of Flight Collection.
