Air Jordan I KO Black/Red 1986 OG vs. 2012 Retro

Better late than never! I finally had some time to take some comparison images of the Air Jordan I KO in black and red.
The original black and red Air Jordan I KO was retroed for the first time earlier this year. As many of you know, the original Air Jordan I KO is one of the rarest shoes out there. In 2010, the KO was retroed for the first time but featured a pre-yellowed "Vintage" look. One original colorway and one new colorway were released. This year, the Air Jordan 1 Retro KO High returned for it second retro run. Two original colorways were released however what many of you might not know is that only one of those colorways was actually an Air Jordan I KO from the '80s. That was, the black and red pair.

After I got this years retro release, I thought it would be interesting to take some side-by-side images of the original 1986 version and the 2012 retro. So, I did. After doing this, I noticed that while the 2012 version is very similar to the OG, there are still a few slight differences. Cut and material are always different but other than that not too much of a difference. Besides "Nike Air" missing, the only real difference one can see right away is the "Wings" logo on the upper. The original is black while the retro is outlined in black.

Enjoy the side-by-side comparison of the black/red original 1986 Air Jordan I KO vs the 2012 Air Jordan 1 Retro High below. If you're looking for a pair of Air Jordan I KO's, click here to grab a pair on eBay.
