Air Jordan 11 Retro DMP "Gold Eyelets" Available On eBay

The Air Jordan 11 Retro from the Defining Moments Package featuring "Jordan" on the eyelets. The released version did not feature this however, a few pairs made it to stores. Check out the auction here.
The first package from Jordan Brand, the Jordan LE or better known as the Jordan Defining Moments Pack (DMP) was released in January of 2006. They were originally set for a 2005 release however the date was pushed back a few times as they had to change the Air Jordan 11 Retro featured in the pack. The reason, color bleeding. This was due to the Air Jordan 11 Retro originally featuring "Jordan" written in gold going down the eyelets of the shoe. The gold from the letters eventually bled into the white mesh causing it to yellow or, discolor. Because of this, they decided to remove the writing down the eyelets and, release them without it.

Now even though the Jordan DMP was released and the Air Jordan XI did not feature "Jordan" on the eyelets, a few pairs managed to make it out. Yes, there were samples made but since the shoe was produced to be released, a few pairs made it into the pack and were sold in stores. Not many pairs were released and they are very rare and hard to come by. Enjoy this detailed look at the Air Jordan 11 Retro from the DMP featuring "Jordan" on the eyelets on a pair that did release. If you'd like to buy these, click here to grab them on eBay.
