Air Jordan 5 Retro White/Varsity Red-Black 2013

In just a few short months, the Air Jordan 5 Retro will be making its return once again. First up, this original colorway.
This was the first Air Jordan V released back in 1990. Since then, it has been retroed twice, once in 2000 with "Nike Air" on the back and then again in 2008 as a part of the Jordan "Countdown" Collezione series with the number "23" stitched on the heels. In January of 2013, this white, red and black Air Jordan 5 Retro will be making its highly anticipated return for a third time. This time around, they will look more true to the original without the number "23" stitched on the sides. Sorry folks, no "Nike Air" on this one but, they do feature any icy blue translucent outsole which is a nice touch and should help slow down the yellowing process.

These will be a general release available at select Jordan Brand accounts on January 26th. Retail is set at $160 for men's sizes and, the men's sizes will come in an OG-style box following in the footsteps of the Air Jordan 3 Retro and Air Jordan 4 Retro releases of 2011 and 2012. As they are a GR, they will also be available in full-family sizing all the way down to crib soft bottoms. So if you missed out in 2008 or need a new pair, everyone will have their chance next year. But even though these are a general release, do not e>xpect them to stay on store shelves very long. These will be another sell out, guaranteed.
